We are looking for experienced CNC Programmer Setter with programming 3 and /or 5-axis machinery to machine large, fabricated parts.
You will be familiar with one or more of the following controls systems; Mazatrol, Siemens, Heidenheim or Fanuc.
You will need to:
- Programming and editing CNC machines
- Use measuring equipment such as micrometres, plug gauges, verniers, screw plugs and ring gauges
- Operating CNC lathes to produce high-precision components
- Using manual lathes and mills where required – a mix of traditional and modern methods
- Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
- Carrying out quality checks and ensuring parts meet required specifications
- Contributing to a clean, efficient, and safety-conscious workshop environment
The ideal candidate:
- Can Program, Set and Operate
- Has the ability to write and edit programs
- Can work towards tight tolerances
- Be fully conversant with reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Be competent in producing high quality components.
- Be able to use engineering measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers etc
- Have strong communication and time management skills
- Be able to work under own initiative
- Be a team player
