  • Ideal applicants will have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently, and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • The salary for this position ranges from £30,000 to £40,000 per year, depending on experience.

We are looking for experienced CNC Programmer Setter with programming 3 and /or 5-axis machinery to machine large, fabricated parts.

You will be familiar with one or more of the following controls systems; Mazatrol, Siemens, Heidenheim or Fanuc.

You will need to:

  • Programming and editing CNC machines
  • Use measuring equipment such as micrometres, plug gauges, verniers, screw plugs and ring gauges
  • Operating CNC lathes to produce high-precision components
  • Using manual lathes and mills where required – a mix of traditional and modern methods
  • Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
  • Carrying out quality checks and ensuring parts meet required specifications
  • Contributing to a clean, efficient, and safety-conscious workshop environment

The ideal candidate:

  • Can Program, Set and Operate
  • Has the ability to write and edit programs
  • Can work towards tight tolerances
  • Be fully conversant with reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Be competent in producing high quality components.
  • Be able to use engineering measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers etc
  • Have strong communication and time management skills
  • Be able to work under own initiative
  • Be a team player
