Overview of day to day responsibilities:
- Manage a small team of QA's in food manufacturing, taking accountability for your team's performance while promoting and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality
- Conduct audits and inspections of the production facility including the processes and products to ensure compliance with specification, retail and company standards.
- Direct food safety and quality improvement projects to ensure excellence in product standards.
- Coordinate, prioritise, and delegate daily responsibilities for your team to ensure the timely completion of audits, verifications, and compliance tasks
- Conduct internal training and provide guidance on quality assurance principles and practices.
- Maintain accurate and up to date records and documentation of audit findings and actions.
- Build and interpret data from audits to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
- Participate in the continual development of the Quality Management Systems on site and highlight any changes to the production and engineering teams.
In terms of background the ideal candidate will have:
- Ideally a background in QA on a food manufacturing site
- Good understanding of GMP and promoting high standards.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to support successful audits.
