Alma Personnel have been tasked with recruiting for a Service Engineer with solar knowledge but with excellent electrical experience working from their clients base in the Loughborough area. this position will be working both from the office and field based.

  • Good Knowledge of mechanics and mechanical fitting
  • Experience working with single cylinder diesel generators would be beneficial as hybrid units have a backup generator
  • Working knowledge of electrical/electronic wiring
  • Strong fault-finding skills across both mechanical and electronic backgrounds
  • Basic plumbing and carpentry skills
  • Basic IT skills a must, use of laptop and tablet and diagnostic software
  • Previous experience within of maintenance or plant machinery background desirable
  • Conversant with the safe use of various hand-held equipment and tools
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as both part of a team, and alone on customers sites
  • UK Driving License with ability to tow and reverse units
  • Don't mind working in all weathers!
