About the Role

Our client has been a staple within the area for over 40 years designing and manufacturing bespoke automation solutions across numerous industries on a global scale. With an Engineer heavy environment, this forward-thinking company offer exciting technical solutions which look at improving manufacturing efficiencies, reducing labour costs and supporting new and innovative technology. 

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Technician/Panel Wirer to join a 20 strong shopfloor team with half being permanent members of staff. With a full order book and a very successful name in the industry, they’re looking to bolster their team with a very effective and skilled Electrical Technician to complete the installation and panel wiring of machinery primarily on the shopfloor, and occasionally on client sites.

Key Responsibilities

Once the Design team have completed their work and the skeleton of the machinery has been created, work moves to the Electrical Technician and responsibilities will include;

• Working with a design specification to wire up the machinery
• Wiring components; sensors, motors, etc
• Panel wiring
• Connecting into terminals onsite
• Bonding checks
• Maintaining records in the build file
• Ensuring all electrical systems are neat tidy and presentable to a client
• Collaborating with Mechanical Engineers to advise on any wiring/assembly issues or redesigns that may be required

Preferred Skills & Experience

To be successful in your application for this Electrical Technician role you will need:

• A significant background within Panel Wiring
• Experience with high-quality electrical building and wiring
• A collaborative and self-motivated mentality
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced/high-pressure environment
