Manufacturing Technician

Location: Loughborough

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm (37.5 hours per week, 30-minute unpaid break)

Pay Rate: 12.65 per hour

Contract: Until 31 December 2025 - Potential to extend.

Start Date: ASAP

Overview:

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our client in Loughborough. The role involves inspecting, assembling, and packaging laboratory consumables in line with defined specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate packaging and labelling equipment
  • Print labels using approved software
  • Complete all required production and quality documentation
  • Support quality control checks and in-process inspections
  • Perform calibration and maintenance on labelling equipment
  • Input batch records and downtime data
  • Cross-train and assist other departments as needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year's experience in manufacturing, production, or a lab environment
  • Good communication and IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Team player with the ability to prioritise tasks
