Paint Prep Technician

• Varied position within the paint spray area working on heavy fabrications.
• This job is based on a permanent day shift with flexible hours to suit.
• Responsible for preparing surfaces ready for priming and painting. Training can be provided for the right individual.
• £15.00 to £18.00 per hour depending on experience

Opportunity for a proven Paint Spray or Paint Preparation Technician to work on a range of heavy bespoke fabrications. The role will include preparation and fettling of metal surfaces, primer painting and mastic sealing, offering the chance to work on some really interesting projects. We do need someone who is comfortable working on large fabrications and comfortable being mobile to ensure all areas of the product are covered efficiently.

The Paint Prep Technician job will involve:

• Preparing bespoke heavy fabrications ready for priming and paint application.
• Working within a wet paint system.
• Interpreting technical drawings.
• Working within a team environment to ensure products are delivered to schedule.

This Paint Prep Technician job will suit:

• Proven experience as a Paint Sprayer within an engineering environment. The process is different to paint spraying applications within the automotive sector.
• Mobile to work across all areas of the product. This includes working at slight heights due to the size of the products.
• Flexibility to support with various tasks within the paint preparation department.
