Location: Shepshed, Loughborough (LE12)
Salary: 90 - 100 per day
Contract Type: Long-term to permanent
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 - 15:30 | Term Time Only

Long Term Futures are working in partnership with a specialist all-through school in Shepshed that supports children aged 5-16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school provides a calm, structured and supportive environment where every pupil is given the chance to thrive.

This is a fantastic opportunity to begin a full-time Teaching Assistant role, supporting students to overcome barriers, build confidence and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide consistent 1:1 and small-group support tailored to SEMH needs.
  • Help students develop self-regulation skills, resilience and positive relationships.
  • Support the implementation of behaviour strategies and routines across the school.
  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to track progress and adjust interventions.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with young people with SEMH or SEN needs is desirable.
  • Backgrounds in sports coaching, youth work or mentoring are also highly valued.
  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to behaviour and emotional support.
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to apply).
