Teaching Assistant - SEN & Behaviour Support (Flexible Cover)

Long Term Futures are supporting a fantastic SEMH school in Shepshed that regularly requires cover Teaching Assistants to support students. This role is perfect for someone confident, nurturing and ready to support pupils with additional needs wherever they're needed most.

You'll be called upon to support the school on days when additional cover is needed, offering flexibility while gaining valuable hands-on experience.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Providing focused support to students with SEMH
  • Working with pupils aged 4-13 with SEMH and additional learning needs
  • Assisting teachers and support staff in creating calm, structured environments
  • Supporting emotional regulation, behaviour management and engagement in lessons
  • Building trust and positive relationships with pupils throughout the day

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people (e.g. education, youth work, care, sports coach, support worker)
  • Confident managing behaviour and supporting pupils with SEMH
  • Reliable, adaptable and calm under pressure
  • Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply

Ideal for: Teaching Assistants, Youth Workers, Behaviour Mentors, Support Workers, Graduates and others with relevant experience.
