We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Manager to work with our client on the outskirts of Loughborough on a full time and permanent basis.

Salary: 34-36,000 per annum (DOE)

Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 5:00pm, Friday: 7:30am - 4:30pm

Purpose of Role

The Warehouse Manager will oversee the daily operation of the yard and warehouse ensuring that the team operates efficiently and safely. Initially working with a small team with an aim to increase over time.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure timely, accurate and professional order fulfilment across all dispatch channels.

Carry out spot checks and sense checks to maintain quality standards and resolve issues proactively.

Stock control, returns, and damages in collaboration with the Inventory Controller.

Maintain correct storage, rotation, and efficient warehouse/yard layout.

Ensure all areas are kept clean, safe, and operational.

Support equipment maintenance and safe use in partnership with Estates and HSE.

Promote a strong culture of safety and compliance.

Conduct regular HSE checks (daily, weekly, monthly) and ensure all staff are trained and compliant.

Manage admin tasks such as packaging stock, PPE, consumables, uniforms, and monthly reporting.

Record process errors and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

About you

Previous experience in warehouse, yard, or logistics supervision.

An understanding of Health & Safety regulations and compliance.

Experience supervising a team, including work delegation, coaching, training, and performance management.

Knowledge of stock management systems and dispatch processes.

Forklift licence (desirable).

Strong organisational and planning skills.

Physically fit and able to undertake regular manual handling and lifting tasks. Must be comfortable working on their feet for extended periods
