The Business:ER Recruitment is proud to partner exclusively with a dynamic and rapidly expanding firm specialising in sheet-metal fabrication, headquartered in Loughborough.This pivotal role, reporting directly to the business owner, offers a unique opportunity to shape the operational landscape of a thriving business. The successful candidate will be a proactive, commercially-minded leader, driven to put the customer at the heart of operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities of the Head of Operations:

• As a senior management team member, lead all operational functions and deliver insights to both the Managing Director and company owner.

• Cultivate and maintain robust client relationships, engaging confidently in technical conversations at all organisational levels.

• Oversee delivery, compliance, and quality assurance of service agreements, ensuring alignment with budget and client expectations.

• Identify and capitalise on opportunities for service expansion and cross-functional integration.

• Maintain high standards of operational output, with a sharp focus on deadlines, quality, and KPIs.

• Manage all teams linked to the customer experience, including Operations, Technical, and Customer Service.

• Act as a key liaison with clients and stakeholders, championing operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

• Handle essential administrative tasks to ensure operational cohesion and efficiency.

About You - Head of Operations:

• Solid experience in a precision engineering or metal component manufacturing environment is essential.

• A natural leader who fosters a results-driven culture and motivates teams to exceed expectations.

• Capable of balancing day-to-day operational oversight with strategic leadership to ensure long-term growth.

• Commercially astute with a solid understanding of business financials, especially cashflow management.

• Strong communicator with exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
