Shift: Monday-Thursday 07:30-16:30 | Friday 07:30-12:30
Pay Rate: 12.32 per hour

A specialist casting manufacturer based in Leicester. They have been operating for over 50 years and serve a broad range of industries globally.
The Role:
We're looking for a reliable and safety-conscious Machine Operative to join a busy and growing manufacturing team, working in a foundry environment.
You'll play a key role in supporting production through the safe operation of foundry and cut-off equipment in the manufacture of precision castings.
This is a hands-on, physical position where quality, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Foundry Operations
- Weigh and record charge materials accurately
- Safely load furnaces using approved handling equipment
- Inspect furnace linings and crucibles before charging
- Pre-heat moulds prior to pouring
- Monitor furnace temperatures within specified limits
Cut-Off Operations
- Prepare parts, securing them in fixtures
- Identify correct cutting points and safely operate saws or cut-off wheels
- Remove parts from trees and segregate scrap for re-melt
- Maintain safe working practices with correct guarding and secure grip
About You:
- Experience in a heavy manufacturing environment desirable (training provided)
- Ability to follow technical instructions and standard operating procedures
- Comfortable working with heat, noise, and dust in a physical role
- Reliable, safety-focused, and a strong team player
- High attention to detail with a commitment to quality
