This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful business based in Loughborough.
You will be responsible for managing supplier relationships and ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials and components.
Description of the role:
- Developing and maintaining an approved supplier list.
- Managing relationships and communication with suppliers and vendors.
- Purchasing raw materials and components.
- Negotiating pricing, terms and schedules with suppliers.
- Evaluating and on-boarding vendors, reporting on performance.
- Placing and managing orders.
- Participating in progress and status review meetings.
About you:
- Experience of working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Advanced negotiation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Italian language skills would be a distinct advantage.
- A strong problem solver with a methodical approach.
- Full driving licence.
