Compliance Officer

Compliance & Quality Assurance experience is essential

Ideally based in Loughborough area.UK Drivers Licence and own transport required.

To support compliance, certification, and documentation activities across seven certified sites within the plastic recycling industry. The role focuses on maintaining adherence to ISO and BRC standards, assisting with audits, and managing compliance-related administration in line with regulatory and certification requirements.



Key Responsibilities

ISO & BRC Certification Support

· Support the implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and BRC standards across seven operational sites.

· Assist with internal and external audits, including scheduling, documentation, audit readiness, and corrective action tracking.

· Ensure site-level alignment with the organization's compliance and certification requirements.

Compliance Administration

· Maintain compliance-related documentation, including policies, procedures, training records, and audit reports.

· Manage a document control system to ensure accuracy, version control, and accessibility across all sites.

· Track and report on compliance deadlines, training requirements, and certification renewal dates.

Monitoring & Reporting

· Support compliance monitoring through internal audits, risk assessments, inspections, and incident reviews.

· Collate and prepare compliance reports and dashboards for the Compliance Manager and senior leadership.

· Coordinate with site teams to ensure timely resolution of non-conformities and continuous improvement activities.

Training & Awareness

· Help coordinate training on compliance standards, including ISO and BRC requirements.

· Assist in promoting awareness of regulatory obligations and best practices within site operations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

· Liaise with external auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory agencies as needed.

· Work closely with site compliance contacts to ensure consistent implementation of policies and procedures.



Qualifications & Experience

· Proven experience in a compliance, quality assurance, or administrative role within manufacturing, recycling, or a related industry.

· Experience using online compliance portals, customer or supplier platforms, and digital audit or certification systems.Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and BRC standards.

· Strong administrative and organizational skills, with experience in document control.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and compliance tracking systems.

· Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple locations.



Preferred Attributes

· Internal Auditor qualification or equivalent certification is desirable.

· Understanding of environmental, health & safety, and regulatory compliance in the recycling or packaging sectors.

· Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage competing deadlines across multiple sites.

· Monday - Friday, ideally 7.00am - 3.00pm.

· Business Mileage.

· 3% Pension.

· 25 days holidays, plus bank holidays.
