Accounts Assistant | Loughborough | Temp To Perm | Up To £15ph

Macildowie are working with a fantastic business in Loughborough in their search for an Accounts Assistant. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with a clear route to a permanent role for the right candidate. The company operates within the engineering and manufacturing sector and offers a stable, well-structured finance environment. You will be joining a detail-focused team where consistency, precision, and ownership of your responsibilities are highly valued.

Salary: £13 - £15 per hour (dependant on experience)Contract Type: Temp to Perm (with a view to permanent)Working Arrangement: Office-based with flexible working hours, full-time or 32-hour week, early finish on Fridays (14:15), and a 30-minute lunch break

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out credit checks and create new debtor accounts
  • Maintain nominal, purchase and sales ledger records
  • Complete weekly and month-end reconciliations
  • Manage sales and purchase ledger queries
  • Take ownership of Group-wide credit control
  • Support ad hoc reporting and finance admin as required
  • Support with payroll processing
  • Meet internal monthly deadlines and reporting cycles

What We're Looking For:

  • A team player with strong organisational skills and great attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with Sage finance software
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work independently and meet strict deadlines
  • Good numeracy and sound decision-making ability
