Gemini People is working with a leading specialist in noise control solutions for the Industrial Sector. We design, manufacture, and maintain high quality silencers, ensuring their clients benefit from quieter and more efficient operations. Due to recent expansion we are currently seeking a proactive trainee Paint Prepper to join the team, where you will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of craftsmanship in their manufacturing process.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a sheet metal or industrial environment.
  • Expertise in cleaning, preparing, and priming steel units to a high standard.
  • Skilled in masking, filling, polishing, and colour matching techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control and defect identification.
  • Experience with paint mixing for accurate colour matching.
  • Ability to maintain high productivity while ensuring excellent quality.
  • Proficient in using and maintaining relevant equipment and tools.
  • Comfortable wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in accordance with safety standards.
  • Strong communication skills to report progress and issues to team leaders.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Clean, key, and seal steel silencers for spraying to the highest standards.
  • Apply primer and coatings using rollers for smooth, even coverage.
  • Apply filler and create a perfect surface for painting.
  • Mask areas not to be painted and polish surfaces before applying finishes.
  • Accurately match colours and mix paints for a flawless finish.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday : 08:00 - 16:30
