Are you a qualified Financial Controller looking to step into a pivotal role within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial import and distribution business?
We are exclusively recruiting on behalf of our client - a dynamic and well-established player in the international import and distribution space - for an experienced and commercially astute Financial Controller to join their senior management team.
This is an exciting, hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and wants real ownership and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Production of monthly management accounts and financial reports to tight deadlines
- Oversight of all ledgers and balance sheet reconciliations
- Supervision and processing of weekly/monthly payroll
- VAT returns, Corporation Tax, and year-end preparation
- Daily cashflow management and forecasting
- Managing and supporting the finance team, driving continuous process improvement
- Stock and shipping cost audits, foreign currency payments, and letters of credit
- Liaising with auditors and preparing year-end financial statements
- Property investment cashflow tracking and reporting
- IT system oversight and data reporting improvements via Excel
About You
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA / ACA / CIMA) with several years of experience in a similar role
- Strong commercial awareness and a meticulous attention to detail
- Highly competent with MS Excel and finance systems
- Skilled communicator with a hands-on, proactive approach
- Experience within import/distribution, stock-heavy or product-based businesses is advantageous
