My client design and manufacture electro-mechanical products and they are looking to take on a Project Manager to develop as part of their team.

The Project Engineer / Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND / BTEC / City Guilds / Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Previous project engineering experience or the desire to adapt in their type of role
  • PRINCE 2 qualification would be desirable but not essential
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Electro-mechanical engineering background ideally
  • Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential
  • Have a flexible approach to work
The Project Engineer / Manager role will involve:

  • Working within the existing engineering team
  • Being involved in problem solving
  • Working on a range of projects
  • Carrying out Risk Assessments
  • Ensuring the plans and timescales for projects are met
  • Adhering to quality standards
  • Evaluating the success of projects against benchmarks
  • Liaising with other colleagues and offering technical assistance when needed
