My client design and manufacture electro-mechanical products and they are looking to take on a Project Manager to develop as part of their team.
The Project Engineer / Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
- Apprenticeship / HNC/ HND / BTEC / City Guilds / Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Previous project engineering experience or the desire to adapt in their type of role
- PRINCE 2 qualification would be desirable but not essential
- Excellent customer service skills
- Electro-mechanical engineering background ideally
- Be able to work well individually as well as part of a team
- Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
- Have a flexible approach to work
- Working within the existing engineering team
- Being involved in problem solving
- Working on a range of projects
- Carrying out Risk Assessments
- Ensuring the plans and timescales for projects are met
- Adhering to quality standards
- Evaluating the success of projects against benchmarks
- Liaising with other colleagues and offering technical assistance when needed
