A great opportunity for an experienced class 1 driver to join this family run professional business based near Louth. Experience in driving with wide, long and high loads an advantage but not essential as full training will be given for the right candidate.
This role requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency whilst maintaining high standards of customer service, nights out will be required, usually Monday to Thursday.
Responsibilities
* Tramping around the South East & WalesÂ
* £17.00 per hr + Holiday Pay + Pension + ExtrasÂ
* Permanent vcacancy with immediate startÂ
- Operate Flatbed loading articulated and rigid vehicles to transport ba single unit wide loads to various locations nationwide
- Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with company policy
- maintain accurate records of deliveries including logs of mileage, fuel consumption and any incidents
- communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
- adhere to all traffic laws and regulations whilst driving
- Load and unload cargo as necessary ensuring proper securing of loads for safe transport
Skills
- proven HGV driving experience
- familiarity with flatbed lorry operations
- strong organisational skills and ability to manage time well
- excellent customer/communication skills
- a valid commercial driving licence
- strong attention to detail regarding safety checks and documentation
