We are seeking a highly skilled HSE Manager to join our offshore project team, providing expert, independent Health, Safety and Environmental guidance. This is a pivotal role where you will drive high standards of HSE awareness, ensure compliance with industry regulations, and foster a strong safety culture across all offshore operations. This is a long-term contract role, with hybrid working available split between our client’s offices and your home office.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Serve as the primary HSE advisor to the project management team, workforce, and contractors offshore.
  • Develop and implement best-practice safety systems, ensuring alignment with client and company policies.
  • Conduct GAP analyses and support the closure of identified gaps through practical, effective solutions.
  • Assist in the development and application of risk assessments and safe work methods.
  • Lead and coordinate HSE audits, safety meetings, incident investigations, and reporting.
  • Produce and maintain HSE statistics, reports, bulletins, and communications for management.
  • Represent the company in all project-related HSE matters, acting as the offshore liaison between contractors and consortium HSE stakeholders.
  • Maintain open communication channels across departments to uphold a proactive and compliant HSE environment.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent).
  • Membership in a recognized HSE professional body (IOSH Graduate minimum, IIRSM, CIEH, or BOHS).
  • Valid offshore certifications: GWO, HUET, Chester Step, UK Offshore Medical, XRB.
 
Key Experience & Skills:
 
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in an offshore environment.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with CDM 2015 regulations.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities with a proactive approach to HSE management.
  • Capable of producing high-quality reports and presenting HSE information effectively.
