Key Responsibilities

Work closely with the Sales Team, drive opportunities from receipt of RFQ to contract award following the proposal process. Ensure adherence to the workflow and required approvals/governance.

Review and organise incoming RFQ information and arrange internal proposal kick-off meetings.

Carry out take-offs from client drawings and technical information. Summarise MR/MTO information and populate cost calculators. Appraise client technical information and request clarifications where needed.

Co-ordinate and consolidate proposal inputs to create compelling competitive commercial and technical proposals. Inputs will include technical specifications, time schedules, HSEQ and legal information, which are obtained via collaboration with internal departments.

Generate detailed and sometimes complex cost estimates for a range of engineered products using excel spreadsheets or similar tools. Work closely with Supply Chain and internal teams to ensure appropriate material costs are used.

Skills and Qualifications

Degree qualified in a relevant technical discipline such as civil or structural engineering or similar

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Working knowledge of Microsoft Projects or similar

Prepare detailed quotes for bids, encompassing product components, manufacturing cost, labour, business overheads, transportation and any other ad-hoc costs specific to the bid or project.

Liaison with Projects, Technical and Production Teams to ensure availability and capabilities are agreed prior to bid adjudication/bid submission.

Knowledge and Experience

Minimum of 3 years experience in similar roles in the offshore industry or construction industry

High level of both technical and commercial acumen

Detailed and methodical approach to problem solving

Experience in multi-tasking and managing tight deadlines

Excellent organisation skills

Confident communicator

Understanding of technical information and its interpretation
