About the role:

As the Operations Manager, you will support the Managing Director in leading our team to ensuring all projects are delivered safely on time and within budget to the high-quality standards we pride ourselves on. You will play a crucial role in fostering continuous improvement and operational efficiency while upholding excellent customer satisfaction. In this role, you will work 5 days a week from 7:30am – 5pm

.Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Plan, schedule, and oversee manufacturing and repair workflows, ensuring timely delivery of products that meet customer specifications.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing compliance with health and safety legislation and conducting routine inspections.
  • Supervise and develop a team of workshop technicians., managing staff deployment, workshop space, equipment, and materials to optimise operations and reduce waste.
  • Ensure high standards of service throughout every area of the business, taking direct ownership for the production, repair and warehouse processes, maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Monitor departmental spending and implement initiatives to enhance cost control without compromising quality.
  • Provide hands-on support and technical guidance to resolve workshop issues while staying updated on industry trends.

About you:

You will have a strong background in operational leadership, in production or workshop environment. As the Operations Manager you will be able demonstrate how you can embrace change and be passionate about delivering exceptional experiences for customers. Essential that you possess strong leadership and team development skills, along with an excellent understanding of engineering processes, project management and Lean management skills. A proactive approach to problem-solving, excellent organisational as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office, familiarity with Health and Safety regulations and ERP systems is also essential for this role. You will ideally hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration or Operations Management (or equivalent).
