KM Recruitment is a specialist UK wide recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors.Job Title: Study Programme TutorLocation: Centre based - LowestoftSalary: £27,000 - £36,000 Term Time only 45 weeks (salary pro rata)Type: Permanent – Term time only (Full or Part Time hours; 45 weeks at 37.5 hours or 16.5 hours per week)KM are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established Grade 2 private Training Provider, with over 30 years of proven success in education and training.We are seeking a Study Programme Tutor who will play a vital role in mentoring and supporting learners, particularly those with additional needs (SEN / SEND). This is a rewarding opportunity to help young people build confidence, overcome barriers, and achieve their full potential.Duties:
  • Deliver high quality Study Programmes to include; Employability Skills, Personal and Social Development, Maths and English and a Vocational certificate/ qualification pathway at entry level to level 2 in Hospitality, Business skills, Land based or a vocation of the learners choosing.
  • Deliver all aspects of the Study Programme to groups of up to 12 learners.
  • Work closely with learners to create and update individual learning plans in line with individual and EHCP targets.
  • Ensure each learner receives a robust initial assessment in order to inform and update the ILP and RARPA framework.
  • Ensure all students receive relevant work experience in line with their planned programme of learning.
  • Build good relationships with learners offering support, advice and guidance throughout their learning journey.
Essential Criteria:
  • Hold a level 3 Teaching qualification as a minimum such as AET/PTLLS
  • Hold a Level 2 in Maths and English – Functional Skills equivalent
  • Experience of supporting and delivering training to young people who have experienced barriers to their lives and education.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the multiple barriers young people face and be able to develop support mechanisms / interventions.
  • Experience of delivering Functional Skills maths and English
