Our client is a worldwide marine consultancy leader, offering advisory and membership intelligence services. They provide extensive market insights using proprietary tools and a dedicated team of experts.

The Role:

As a Backend Developer, you will play a pivotal role in researching, designing, and developing UI interfaces, programming web and in-house software applications for both internal and external use, and providing essential internal IT support.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop fully functional programs with clean, testable code.
  • Craft User Interfaces and web layouts using HTML / CSS best practices.
  • Create and maintain customer dashboards, including graphs and charts.
  • Enhance and repair existing programs.
  • Conduct regular tests and debugging for optimal program efficiency.
  • Prepare technical documentation for user support.
  • Propose new features to enhance navigation and functionality.
  • Cooperate with internal teams to define system requirements.
  • Integrate back-end data and adhere to security principles.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry developments.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of experience working as a Backend Developer or in a similar role.
  • Previously worked as a Web programmer or developer.
  • Experience with various programming languages and techniques, including C#.NET, jQuery, JSON, AJAX, API, Python, T-SQL, etc.
  • Understanding of MS SQL databases and HTML / CSS / BOOSTRAP.
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and web application development.
  • Possess Project management skills.
  • Right to work in the UK.
