Butler Rose is delighted to be partnering with a leading and expanding automotive group in their search for an ambitious and commercially minded Management Accountant. About the Role:Reporting to the Divisional Financial Controller, this hybrid role will take ownership of financial reporting across two dealerships. You'll be responsible for delivering timely and accurate monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations, and P&L reporting, while playing a key role in shaping financial processes as the business continues to grow through growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finalise monthly management accounts and financial reports within a 5-day close period
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and ensure integrity of site financials
- Lead on accruals, prepayments, vehicle stock reconciliations, and payroll journals
- Partner with site management to provide commercial insight and support financial decision-making
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting across your assigned sites
- Support with year-end accounts and audit preparation
- Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and internal accounting policies
- Attend periodic stock takes and liaise closely with operational teams
What We're Looking For:
- Experience in a similar role within the motor trade is essential
- AAT qualified or studying ACCA/CIMA (QBE also considered)
- Strong Excel skills and confident working with large data sets
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines independently
- Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving business
- Confident communicator, comfortable working across multiple sites
- Eagerness to learn, develop, and take on new challenges
