Accounts Assistant - Manufacturing (Luton)
Join a leading manufacturing firm in Luton as a key Accounts Assistant, partnered with Morgan McKinley, Northern Home Counties. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a crucial role in daily financial operations and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage purchase and sales ledgers (coding and processing).
- Handle purchase orders and non-PO invoice approvals.
- Maintain the financial asset register.
- Support month-end closing, reconciliations, and forecasting.
- Oversee the finance inbox.
- Assist with bank reconciliation and cash forecasting.
- Execute bi-weekly payment runs.
- Support payroll and other finance/office tasks.
- Maintain timesheet systems and Xero contacts.
- Provide cover for colleagues and handle ad hoc duties.
What you'll bring:
- Prior finance/accounts experience, ideally in manufacturing.
- Knowledge of Xero, ApprovalMax, or similar finance software.
- Understanding of VAT.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation.
- Strong time management and ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
Position: Full-time, Permanent Salary: 30000 - 35000
