Astute's Renewables team is exclusively partnering with a utility scale solar O&M company to recruit a Field Service Engineer for its sites in Luton and the surrounding areas.
This role comes with a salary of 33,000 - 38,000 DOE, company van and provides an excellent opportunity to move into the utility scale solar world.

Responsibilities and duties
Reporting to the Head of Operationsyou will:
- Assisting with planned inspection and maintenance according to legal, technical, manufacturer and contractual requirements. Learning around reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and standard operating procedures
- Performing reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis and resolution in a timely manner
- Carrying out site surveys requests as required
- Compiling accurate and appropriate documentation for both internal and external stakeholders in a precise and timely manner
- Keeping accurate and detailed records of electrical testing, High Voltage and safety documents that are suitable for audit
- Ensuring that work output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity
- Complying with the company Health & Safety Policy
Professional qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following:
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualifications or equivalent
- 17th/18th (preferably) edition wiring regulations
- Ideally at least a year's experience in electrical installation/maintenance work in either an industrial, commercial or even domestic capacity
- Full UK licence

The Field Service Engineer role would suit someone who is:

- Happy to travel around to sites in a field-based role
Salary and benefits of the Junior Field Service Engineer role
- Salary of between 33,000 to 38,000 Depending on experience
- Overtime and on call weekends on rota.
