Our client, a prominent organisation in the Defence & Security and Aerospace sectors, is seeking a Quality Engineer for a contract position to be based onsite in Luton.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer advice, support and assistance on all Quality Assurance / Quality Control matters
  • Contribute actively to IPT requirements, delivering a compliant product on time while meeting all cost and safety requirements
  • Conduct First Article Inspections in accordance with AS9102 standards
  • Audit the Business Management System (BMS) in accordance with AS9100 standards
  • Support the reduction of Non-Conformance costs and foster a root cause and corrective action culture
  • Implement Assurance function's improvement plans across all phases of the Programme, Product, and Project Lifecycle
  • Positively influence quality behaviours using effective interpersonal skills
  • Attend and contribute to key meetings, including IPT, functional, Operations, and Engineering meetings
  • Ensure concessions and production permits are processed correctly and promptly, directly supporting where required
  • Support achievement of project assurance milestones within the Programme, Product, and Project lifecycle
  • Assist in delivering reports and supporting data to the Programme, Project, and function as required


Job Requirements:

  • Experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Quality Management within the Defence & Security and Aerospace sectors
  • Strong knowledge of AS9100 and AS9102 standards
  • Significant understanding of quality control processes and procedures
  • Proficiency in quality auditing and non-conformance cost reduction
  • Ability to work collaboratively within Integrated Project Teams (IPTs)
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Relevant engineering or quality assurance qualification
