  • The role is hybrid, requiring weekly site visits for all hands meetings, and will report to a Senior Design Manager overseeing two projects.
  • Key responsibilities include leading multi-discipline design delivery, implementing value engineering, and acting as the primary contact for clients on design matters.

  • The position offers a competitive salary and is ideal for those looking to grow within a market-leading company during the AMP8 cycle.

Urban Connect are currently supporting a Tier 1 Water Contractor who are already winning a number of Thames Water projects, currently recruiting for 2 X Design Managers to lead the design on 50m STW schemes.

This is a hybrid role with weekly site visits for all hands meetings. The Design Manager will report into a Senior Design Manager who oversees 2 projects, so will have a lot of support, but will be the main point of contact for the client and 3rd parties.

Key Responsibilities will be:

  • Lead multi-discipline design delivery (M&E, Civil, Structural, Architectural & Other Specialists)
  • Implement value engineering principles to optimise design solutions and minimise costs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on design-related matters
  • Manage the design budget and schedule, tracking
progress and reporting on any variances.

This is a genuinely exceptional role with a business who that is already a market leader, but that will see huge growth throughout the AMP8 cycle, offering a flexible environment with leading benefits.

Whether you are currently a design manager delivering water projects, or a hands on design engineer, looking to move into a role with a wider remit and more collaborative environment, we are keen to speak.

If this sounds like it could be of interest, please apply to this role with an up to date copy of your CV.
