ROLE: Right to Buy Legal Officer
LOCATION: Bedfordshire / Hybrid
RATE: 30ph LTD / 26.72ph PAYE inc. holiday pay / 23.84ph PAYE exc. holiday pay
CONTRACT: 3 months with possibility of extension, 36 hours per weel
Please note that this this would be a hybrid working position/
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage high-volume Right to Buy caseloads, ensuring timely and compliant property transactions
- Draft, review, and process legal documents related to property disposals and conveyancing
- Investigate title issues, prepare reports, and advise on legal implications
- Serve statutory notices and handle post-completion formalities
- Liaise with councils, external solicitors, and stakeholders to facilitate case progression
- Ensure adherence to relevant laws and policies, managing risks discreetly
Candidate Profile:
- Proven experience handling Right to Buy schemes and residential conveyancing
- Excellent knowledge of English land law and conveyancing procedures
- Previous experience of working within a local authority would be highly advantageous
- Effective communicator with keen attention to detail
- Legal qualification such as a Law degree or Graduate Diploma in Law preferred
