Job Description: Despatch Supervisor
Location: Luton
Salary: up to 28k
Duration: Permanent
Hours: Mon-Thur (Apply online only) pm (Fri finish at 2PM
Holidays: 28 Inc BHS + Pension
Duties and responsibilities as the Despatch Supervisor:
Maintain accurate records of goods received and dispatched, completing relevant paperwork.
Stock Control assisting with inventory management, ensuring stock levels are accurate and maintained. Quality Control Inspecting products for quality and ensuring they meet company standards.
Supervise the packing team to ensure the team are carrying out their duties.
Maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicating with Sales staff, team members and managers to ensure efficient workflow. Ensure resources and processes are functioning efficiently and effectively.
Seek approval and justification for any overtime to be worked.
Driving excellence and continuous improvements to maximize H&S, Quality, Delivery, Efficiency. Using and maintaining the company systems for accurate reporting stock levels etc.
Reporting and addressing despatch issues that arise and potential impact on the business. Essential
Physically fit, good timekeeping and attendance Must have experience in depatch and stock control Must have strong people management experience
Must have good working level of ICT skills on applications such as Excel, Word and Outlook
Able to operate and use a forklift and picking truck
Ensure the security of the unit, to open and close the building at the start/end of the shift.
