Specialist Teaching Assistant

Contract Term: Full-Time

Salary: 26,703.00 - 28,142.00 Annually (FTE)

Main Duties and Responsibilities of a Specialist Teaching Assistant:

  • Assist teachers with all aspects of their work within the provision
  • Contribute to the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of pupils
  • Support individual pupils or small groups both within the unit and, if needed, across other areas of the Alternative Provision Academy
  • Supervise and support pupils during breakfast, break, and lunch times
  • Administer medication as required (training will be provided)
