The ideal Senior Satellite Communications Systems Engineer will bring strong systems engineering skills, deep expertise in satellite networks, and the ability to operate confidently across technical and stakeholder-facing environments.
Your responsibilities as Senior Satellite Communications Systems Engineer include:
Designing and delivering satellite communications solutions across full system lifecycles.
Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are met.
Leading on the creation of system documentation, plans, and operational materials.
Providing technical input into stakeholder discussions, proposals, and reviews.
Solving complex engineering problems using structured and innovative approaches.
Your previous experience as Senior Satellite Communications Systems Engineer will be:
510 years experience in satellite systems, communications, or engineering delivery.
Degree or masters qualification in Communications, Electronics, or related field.
Strong grounding in system design, satellite operations, and payload development.
Understanding of IP networking, data protocols, and secure system architecture.
Demonstrated success in delivering engineering solutions under pressure.
Desirable experience includes:
Chartered Engineer status (or actively working toward it).
Exposure to ground segment testing, commissioning, and fault analysis.
Experience with OSS/BSS tools used in communication network management.
Understanding of secure communications in military or defence applications.
Awareness of new tech areas such as optical links, 5G, or quantum systems.
