- Providing expert advice on inheritance tax, estate planning, and the drafting of Wills and Trusts
- Advising on agricultural and business property reliefs, as well as other tax reliefs applicable to estates and trusts
- Drafting Trust provisions for testamentary and inter vivos trusts
- Taking instructions for complex Wills and ensuring they meet clients’ specific needs and objectives
- Managing the administration of estates and trusts, including preparing returns for probate and liaising with HMRC
- Assisting clients with Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), from taking instructions to managing registration
- Contributing to marketing efforts and supporting business development initiatives
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (5-6 years PQE)
- Proven experience handling complex private client matters, including Wills, Probate, Estate Administration, and Trusts
- STEP qualification or accreditation is desirable but not essential
- Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on client care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to business development
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Proficient in case management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Business development experience and a willingness to build relationships with clients and referrers
