Are you a detail-oriented Property Administrator looking for an exciting opportunity within a growing property and Housing management company? We are seeking a proactive professional to join our client's team on a permanent basis in Luton.

The Opportunity

This Property Administrator position offers the chance to support utility and council tax management across an extensive property portfolio within a thriving property management industry business. Based in Luton with excellent on-site parking, you'll be working as part of a supportive Finance team during a period of significant growth and investment.

As a Finance Administrator in this successful property and housing management company located in Luton, you'll be instrumental in ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across utility operations while identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage utilities and council tax accounts across property portfolio (Gas, Electric, Water, Council Tax)
  • Handle bills-inclusive and bills-exclusive bookings with high accuracy
  • Oversee daily utility operations including resolving billing issues and processing payments
  • Use workflow management systems to track and manage utility data
  • Maintain accurate financial records in coordination with Finance team
  • Work with third-party partners and local councils to resolve queries and discrepancies
  • Identify and escalate inefficiencies or cost-saving opportunities
  • Support broader finance operations as required
Essential Requirements
  • Proficient in Excel with strong data management skills
  • Minimum 12 months experience in similar administrative role
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Confident approach to managing challenging conversations with suppliers and councils
Desirable Skills
  • Experience with Monday.com workflow management system
  • Familiarity with SAGE 50 accounting software
  • Previous utilities or property management experience
