Benefits: Company pension, health care, 25 days annual leave The role of the Quantity Surveyor - Architectural Glazing will involve:

  • Commercial Manager position dealing with various architectural glazing systems such as; facades, curtain walling, balustrades, barriers, atriums, entrances & windows
  • Keeping up to date with site progress, recording progress made, and transferring information onto monthly payment applications
  • Updating any changes to the agreed contract scope
  • Keeping track of monthly application figures and ensuring relevant departments are aware of potential budget or financial constraints
  • Reviewing labour schedules and comparing to actual progress on site
  • Pricing variations and changes in line with subcontractor parameters
  • Reviewing project drawings, comparing construction drawings to tender drawings documenting any changes
  • Develop and foster working relationships with clients, client reps, and suppliers
  • Working on projects in value of up to £7m

The ideal applicant will be Quantity Surveyor - Architectural Glazing with:

  • Must have 5+ years working as Quantity Surveyor within the UK commercial construction industry
  • Ideally will have experience in the architectural glazing, cladding or facades market sector
  • Ideally will have experience dealing with curtain walling, glazing, facades, entrances, shop fronts, roofs, atriums, internal glass, sliding doors, balustrades & canopies
  • Ideally degree level educated in Quantity Surveying
  • Sound working knowledge of JCT & NEC contracts
  • IT literate (Microsoft Office)
  • Strong negotiation, time management, and organisation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
