We're Hiring: Senior Estimator – Civil Engineering & Infrastructure

Morson Talent is proud to be supporting a major infrastructure contractor in the search for a highly capable Senior Estimator to join their expanding Work Winning team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute and technically skilled Estimator to lead on pricing large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure tenders across the UK. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop competitive, accurate, and strategic cost proposals.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed and accurate pricing for tenders and early contractor involvement (ECI) projects
  • Collaborate with Bid Managers, Planners, Procurement, and Technical Services to ensure best-value pricing strategies
  • Produce cost estimates across labour, plant, materials, subcontractors, preliminaries, and temporary works
  • Support risk analysis and advise on value engineering and alternative design options
  • Prepare and present pricing at internal settlement meetings
  • Coordinate final submission pricing documentation and respond to client clarifications
  • Lead post-tender reviews and contribute to continual improvement in estimating processes
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Assistant Estimators

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in estimating within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
  • Strong technical understanding of construction methods and commercial principles
  • Familiarity with various forms of contract and procurement legislation
  • Proficient in estimating software and financial analysis tools
  • Highly organised with excellent communication and collaboration skills
