We're Hiring: Senior Estimator – Civil Engineering & Infrastructure

Salary: (£75,000 - £85,000) + car allowance + benefits
Morson Talent is proud to be supporting a major infrastructure contractor in the search for a highly capable Senior Estimator to join their expanding Work Winning team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute and technically skilled Estimator to lead on pricing large-scale civil engineering and infrastructure tenders across the UK. You'll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop competitive, accurate, and strategic cost proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed and accurate pricing for tenders and early contractor involvement (ECI) projects
- Collaborate with Bid Managers, Planners, Procurement, and Technical Services to ensure best-value pricing strategies
- Produce cost estimates across labour, plant, materials, subcontractors, preliminaries, and temporary works
- Support risk analysis and advise on value engineering and alternative design options
- Prepare and present pricing at internal settlement meetings
- Coordinate final submission pricing documentation and respond to client clarifications
- Lead post-tender reviews and contribute to continual improvement in estimating processes
- Provide guidance and mentorship to Assistant Estimators
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in estimating within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong technical understanding of construction methods and commercial principles
- Familiarity with various forms of contract and procurement legislation
- Proficient in estimating software and financial analysis tools
- Highly organised with excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Committed to safe working, innovation, and sustainable project delivery
