Project Manager

Abatec continue to support a highly regarded regional civil engineering contractor, who work across various water frameworks in the South West & South Wales.

Due to upcoming work on AMP8 of the South West Water Framework, our client, a 90m+ turnover business, who employ circa 300 employees locally, require an experienced Project Manager, to head up projects within the Devon area. The successful individual will require experience within the water sector primarily with pipelines, infrastructure, cofferdams & temporary works.

As a ProjectManageryou will:

• Manage projects and their delivery times, incorporating safety, quality, cost and the environment.
• Act as a lead, setting the example and encouraging staff.
• Ensure compliance with company regulations and relevant legislation.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders within the business.
• Be responsible for best value and commercial viability of bids
• Liaise/meet with Designers, Local Authorities, Environmental Agency etc.
• Be responsible for attending monthly project meetings on site.

Our client requires a Project Manager with:

• A background of working direct for a Utilities/Water provider on multi-disciplinary projects.
• A good understating of construction health & safety protocols i.e. Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
• Excellent communication, planning and organisation skills.
• CSCS Contract Management Card.
• HND/HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Full driving license to travel between sites.

Salary and benefits include:

• 60,000 - 70,000 per annum DOE
• Company car / car allowance
