This opportunity places you at the heart of a world-renowned yacht manufacturer, where precision, innovation and craftsmanship meet.As Financial Controller, you will report directly to the Managing Director and play a pivotal role in ensuring robust financial management, driving improvements in systems and controls, and supporting the leadership team in delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting. You will lead a small finance team while working closely with project teams to provide clear oversight of project performance.Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be responsible for:
  • Preparing and delivering monthly management accounts, including reporting packs and processes
  • Leading the year-end process, liaising with auditors and managing adjustments
  • Implementing and improving financial controls, policies and procedures
  • Overseeing stock and inventory control and reporting
  • Managing and mentoring a finance team of three
  • Delivering project accounting and reporting on project performance with the MD
What you will need:
  • To be a qualified accountant CIMA / ACCA / ACA
  • Previous experience in a similar role, such as Financial Controller / Finance Director / Head of Finance / Finance Manager / Senior Project Accountant
  • The confidence to engage with and influence stakeholders in a hands-on environment
  • Ideally, marine industry exposure
  • An interest in sailing or yachting would be advantageous
