Project Manager Job in Lymington (FMCG Industry)

Dovetail Recruitment are excited to be working with a product-based company in Lymington who are going from strength to strength. They are now looking for a new Project Manager to join their busy office and become an integral part of this creative product focused business, tracking the supply chain process and critical path from start to finish.

The Project Manager will be a core part of the business and will liaise with clients, manufacturers, suppliers and internal teams. It’s a busy and varied role that will keep you on your toes while working with exciting projects and major clients. Experience in the fast-moving consumer goods industry is essential, and experience dealing with suppliers in the Far East would be highly beneficial.

Duties & Responsibilities of the FMCG Project Manager:

  • Manage the critical paths of fast-moving consumer good product developments for each order and ensure the client is kept informed throughout the process while working with the product developers and account managers
  • Ensure at final order stage, all the correct costings, comments, amendments and points of notes are included in the documentation.
  • Internal and external product quality inspections on pre-production samples and finalising external QC inspections, analysing reports to ensure goods are made to strict quality requirements
  • Track client and supplier costs, matching against quotes and querying invoices in a timely manner to flag changes or issues ahead of time
  • Ensure client procedures, expectations, compliance/testing requirements and reporting is met
  • Ensure all Supply chain and Logistics processes are being followed and documentation is up to date.
  • Supporting the Operations and Finance Director the in daily management of Supply Chain function, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the correct standard and in good time to ensure smooth running of all orders

Knowledge & Experience:

  • FMCG industry experience is essential and non-negotiable
  • Experience working to critical paths within the FMCG industry
  • Experience as a Project Manager or similar

Salary & Benefits:

  • Annual salary of up to £45,000 depending on experience
  • 22 days holiday + bank holidays
  • Free parking on-site
  • Hours of Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm
