Job Opportunity: English/Maths Tutor - SEN School - Part-Time - Lyndhurst
A specialist SEN school in Lyndhurst is seeking a caring and adaptable English/Maths Tutor to provide targeted support to pupils with additional learning needs. This is a part-time role, starting as soon as possible, offering 2 hours of tuition per day, across 3 to 4 days per week.
Role Overview
You will deliver focused English and/or Maths sessions to pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping to build confidence, close learning gaps, and support progress in a nurturing and structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 or small group tuition in English and/or Maths
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs
- Support pupils with EHCPs or specific learning barriers
- Track progress and communicate effectively with staff
Requirements
- Experience working in SEN settings or with pupils with additional needs
- Strong subject knowledge in English and/or Maths
- Calm, patient, and flexible approach to teaching
- Relevant qualifications or tutoring experience (desirable)
