Example Recruitment Group are working with a National Heating contractor specialising within the Local Authority sector and are recruiting a permanent Gas Service and Breakdown Engineer covering Service & Breakdown contracts. Please note this role will be on the tools covering domestic contracts.  

They`re fast expanding and have secured a number of prestigious contracts throughout the South-East of England and are looking for a Gas Service and Breakdown Engineer to look after a successful Service and Breakdown contracts based in North London and and surrounding geographical areas.  

  • Basic Salary: £42,000 per annum plus call-out & overtime 
  • Hours of work: 8am-5:30pm
  • Call-out paid at £40 per completed job and £30 non 
  • Overtime paid at Time and a half e
  • 21 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays increasing 1 day per year between January - December up to 25 days.
  • Van, fuel card, pension scheme 5%, all specialist equipment supplied and flue gas analyser
  • Working on Social Housing & Local Authority contracts

To be successful in this role you will need to have the following experience:

  • Be a professionally qualified gas engineer with 5 years experience within the gas industry
  • Have up to date knowledge around gas compliance and relevant legislation
  • Have good communication skills on the client side and operatives 
  • Strong IT skills 
  • Have a high level of technical gas knowledge on fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
  • Be pro-active and confident in problem solving and decision making
