Our elderly care home in Mablethorpe is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Care Manager to join our dedicated team. As a deputy care manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our care home and providing the highest quality of care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the care home manager in the day-to-day running of the care home
  • Oversee and manage the care staff, ensuring they adhere to all policies and procedures
  • Monitor and maintain the care home's compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure the quality of care is maintained
  • Create and implement care plans for each resident, ensuring their individual needs are met
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals
  • Handle any complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner
  • Assist with recruitment, training, and development of care staff
  • Manage the care home's budget and resources effectively
  • Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a senior care role, preferably in an elderly care home
  • Knowledge of current legislation and regulations related to elderly care
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification
  • A compassionate and caring nature
  • Flexible and able to work weekends and evenings when required
  • Must have a valid UK driving license
