Are you a Development Chemist with knowledge of formulating cleaning/hygiene products looking for a highly autonomous role in a Research & Development department for a company that respects your skillset and will recognise you as a technical expert?

In this role you will be working in a close-knit Research and Development department to create new formulars for industrial and commercial cleaning applications. They can offer great flexibility for childcare and a relocation package to the Peak District.

This family-run business are an SME with a global footprint. They develop, manufacture and distribute a wide range of cleaning products. Off the back of a great reputation they have gone from strength to strength and are looking to expand their R&D Team.

This role would suit a Chemist looking for a R&D role with knowledge of industrial or cleaning chemicals, looking for an autonomous role where you'll be a key part of a team of technical experts.

The Role:

  • Execution of planned projects within the R&D programme, setting timelines, delivering, and reporting results in a timely manner.
  • Process scale-up and transfer from R&D to manufacturing operations
  • Developing and evaluating new synthetic chemistry procedures and manufacturing processes.
  • Running routine analytical tests.
  • Sample administration, packing of samples and dispatching, liaising with the warehouse for sample transport to the lab, waste disposal.
  • Working safely; using and understanding existing COSHH and risk assessments and writing new COSHH and risk assessments for the work undertaken. Following quality procedures, safety procedure and SOPs.

  • Knowledge of Cleaning/Hygiene/Laundry products or similar
