Description

The Payroll Team Leader role is initially a 12 month contract and will be hybrid working- 3 days in office/2 days remote- Reporting to the Head of Payroll Key responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and oversee the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related queries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, including tax and pension contributions.
  • Review and approve payroll reports, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the accounting and finance team to support month-end and year-end processes.
  • Lead and mentor the payroll team, fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in payroll operations.
  • Stay updated on payroll legislation and communicate changes to the team as needed.

Profile

In order to apply for the role you should:

  • Have previous experience as a Payroll Specialist looking to take the next step or be an experienced Payroll Supervisor
  • Be able to commute 3 days per week to Macclesfield office
  • Be able to consider a 12 month contract initially
