Workshop Assembly Operative required in Stockport.

I am looking for a neat and tidy Assembly Operative that can use their own initiative and feel comfortable with aspects of very basic joinery work.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated, trustworthy and committed to producing quality work. Whilst the role is almost a 'stand alone' opportunity within the company, you will be required to assist others in the dept/business as the work dictates.

Ideally you will have experience and knowledge gained from a fabrication background (ideally MDF) or very similar and happy to read and follow drawings. You will be making precise measurements and cuts using both hand and bandsaws. It will be advantageous if you have used Brad Guns (staple and nail) for fixing.

There are workshop targets in place and throughout the workshop and Quality is of premium importance. Taking pride in your work/output is a standard requirement for everyone within the business. The work environment has a very supportive staff culture and help is always readily available when you are unsure.

Full training will be provided along with a detailed job description and standard operating procedures to hand. Steel toes-capped footwear and a hi-viz vest HAS to be worn within the workplace.

Hours of work 0730-1630 Mon-thu and 0730-1400 Friday

Pay rate £15.09 and authorised overtime is at time and a third ( £20.07)
