DATS Recruitment is seeking an experienced Instrument Designer to join a dynamic engineering team delivering essential infrastructure projects across multiple sectors. This is a unique opportunity for an Instrument Designer to take ownership of exciting projects, from flow monitoring systems to PLC and DCS upgrades.

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver expert electrical and instrument design as a key Instrument Designer.

  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams, ensuring smooth project delivery.

  • Manage design outputs, resources, and timelines to meet project goals.

  • Ensure compliance with industry best practices, regulations, and safety standards.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as an Instrument Designer, ideally in water, pharmaceutical, or industrial projects.

  • Strong knowledge of ATEX, Functional Safety (IEC 61508/61511), and CDM Regulations 2015.

  • Engineering qualification (HNC/Degree) and professional memberships desirable.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD LT and Microsoft Office.

  • Confidence working across multi-discipline teams and project stages.
