Lecturer & Programme Lead - A-Level (Social Sciences/Business)Location: MacclesfieldType: Full Time, PermanentAn exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate and experienced Lecturer & Programme Lead to join a thriving Sixth Form department. This role is perfect for someone eager to inspire the next generation, take strategic leadership of the A-Level (Social Sciences/Business) curriculum, and contribute to the growth and success of the department.As a Programme Lead, you will teach a 0.5 caseload, lead and manage a team of staff, and oversee the operational day-to-day running of your curriculum area. You will also play a pivotal role in curriculum development, quality assurance, and the achievement of outstanding student success rates.Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment.
  • Lead the operational management of the A-Level Social Sciences/Business provision.
  • Monitor student progress and ensure high levels of achievement, retention, and progression.
  • Line-manage departmental staff, ensuring continuous professional development and excellence.
  • Assist with recruitment, timetabling, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Act as an ambassador for the department, promoting a culture of high expectations and achievement.

What We Are Looking For:

  • A full teaching qualification (or equivalent) in line with national standards.
