We are seeking an Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineer to join our client on a short-term basis, supporting the development and testing of cutting-edge technologies. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role based in Cambridge. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and is looking to make a meaningful impact on a short-term project.


Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop test tools for a microfluidic cartridge in a manufacturing environment
* Rapidly understand challenges and requirements, proposing and delivering effective solutions with speed and precision
* Development of automated systems, incorporating mechanical, fluidic and electrical components
* Script and control test gear including pumps, actuators and sensors
* Design and implement test systems and protocols including FMEA, data acquisition and data analysis


Required Skills & Experience
* Strong Mechanical Engineering background; Electronics knowledge a plus
* Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in product testing for manufacture
* Proficient in developing and troubleshooting automated test systems
* Comfortable working across disciplines (mechanical, electrical, fluidic) and rapidly iterating designs
