South Wales

Up to £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Shifts: Rotating - Days (6am-2pm), Afternoons (2pm-10pm), Nights (10pm-6am)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing manufacturing business for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining production efficiency, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement across factory operations.

The Role:

  • Maintain, service, and troubleshoot a variety of production and manufacturing equipment
  • Perform equipment setup, operational checks, and minor preventative maintenance
  • Monitor and control processes using visual observation, data analysis, and testing
  • Conduct equipment inspections, maintain logs, and report on performance and incidents
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to optimise processes and reduce waste
  • Ensure all work complies with internal quality standards and external regulations
  • Carry out fault finding, breakdown repairs, and continuous improvements
  • Operate and support highly automated machinery and production lines
  • Monitor product quality and take corrective action when deviations occur
  • Keep the production floor and equipment clean, safe, and operational

 

 

The Candidate:

  • Time-served engineer with minimum HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline (essential)
  • Proven troubleshooting ability and experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment
  • Strong decision-making skills with an understanding of cost and operational impact
  • Computer-literate (especially with Word and Excel) for maintenance logs and reporting
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Driving licence preferred (for site access and mobility)
